Tell us a little about yourself:


I’m 43 years old, a hair stylist and have 2 boys, 9 and 6. Between my job and trying to stay active for my boys, my body just wasn’t happy. Until I started yoga. I love it! It’s been so helpful physically and mentally. 





How long have you been practicing yoga?


I’ve been practicing for about 2 years. I wish I had started sooner!



What drew you to the practice?


A friend of mine talked me into going to Amanda’s class, thank goodness! It has changed my life! 




At this point, what is your favorite aspect of the practice of yoga?






I love all of it! The network of yogis, the increase of mindfulness, physical strength, flexibility and just the overall feeling better in my skin has been wonderful. 






What would you tell anyone thinking about trying yoga, who might be a little apprehensive?


We were all in your shoes. It can be modified for any age or body type and I think no matter who you are, you will benefit in some way from the practice.







Do you have a favorite quote or mantra that you live by?


Don't sweat the small stuff!
